The Dish on Career, Fashion, Faith, and Family

Do You Ever?

June 13, 2013 by Gindi 10 Comments

Do you ever forget to flush the toilet after you go to the bathroom because almost every toilet automatically flushes now?

Do you ever wonder why some people’s nails grow nicely and yours just won’t?

Do you ever think maybe you should reconsider your adamant disapproval of plastic surgeon now that you’ve had children?

Do you ever wonder how the Bachelor/ette has made it this many seasons?

Do you ever question how you can possibly stay blonde when your underneath hair is brown and the entire top of your head is gray and there’s no color concoction that will deal with them in concert?

Do you ever wonder why certain guys drive little bitty cars?

Do you ever miss driving little bitty cars?

Do you ever wonder why they haven’t made flying cars yet if the Jetsons had it figured out when you were a kid?

Do you ever miss doing a cannonball into the pool and not wondering what you look like in your swimsuit?

Do you ever want to know who decided the “I before E” rule except in certain weird (ahem, exhibit A), and not intuitive, spelling situations?

Do you ever wish that the book you are reading just would NOT end because it’s going to be ages before you find one this good again?

Do you ever want to move to the country so you can skip city traffic?

Do you ever want to move to the inner city so you can skip city traffic?

Do you ever sit breathless at the edge of your wee ones beds and wonder how something so perfect is related to you and your imperfections?

Do you ever lean over to kiss your man and think, wow, I’m so lucky?

Do you ever wish you were doing more because you have been entrusted with so much?

Do you ever wish you were doing less because you have been entrusted with so much?

Do you ever sit still at the end of the day and just breath, thank you?

(What do you wonder?)

Thanks, Gindi! Although I don’t *personally* identify with all of them (e.g., I don’t have kids of my own), I really enjoyed this post.

LOVE this!! Oh, do I ever wonder about a lot of these!!

Especially the haircolor dilemma (mine was slowly turning into a color not found in nature – time to go dark all over – your friend Kelly was my motivation…).

The little car – oh yes, I miss it. So, so much.

The book – you said it all right there. Exactly.

And yes, so thankful for every single thing…

Love this! So it’s a bit flaky, but I DO wonder about the bachelor/ette. But I wonder even more about people who watch it and think that the end relationship will actually last. (Confession, though…it sure is entertaining!) 😉 Fun list. 🙂

I know – such a terrible guilty pleasure, like a car accident, you can’t look away…….

Welcome

Come on in. I have a reservation just for you. I know life is busy. I would love for us to step out for a relaxing lunch but schedules don't always allow. So let's pop open that salad or sandwich sitting in front of our computers, and we'll have lunch right here. A few minutes is all we need to connect to community.
