Fair warning: this isn’t my most serious or applicable of Fashion Fridays. But the reality is, I’m fried (if you didn’t pick up on that from yesterday). So today’s Fashion Friday is fashion advice from my three year old budding fashionista who is currently about three and a half feet tall:
No. 5. Floral works. If you are feeling a little drab and are worried you’ve not fully embraced the summer spirit, throw a sprig of coordinating flowers in your hair. It is the perfect mix of bohemian and cutting edge. (And no, pairing it with a swirly floral skirt is not too much if you break it up with another pattern between hair and waist!)
No. 4. Have an Attitude. When in doubt, cock your leg and throw a tiara on. That attitude (and the right accessories) helps you tackle whatever is on your agenda for the day with confidence.
No. 3. – Repurpose. What once was an adorable tiered red and white skirt can now serve as a fresh strapless summer blouse. And don’t think matchy-matchy when you are inventing – think OUTSIDE of the box.
No. 2. Be Bold. There’s far too much timidity in fashion – mix and match and think power. Nothing works like some killer pink cowboy boots paired with a skinny pant, embellished belted tank, and some pink sunglasses. And if you find your bravery and “do” bold, then OWN it.
No. 1. Have Fun! If it’s Saturday morning, the best way to start your day is dancing in a pink hat. (Your happiness will be amplified if you happen to also have a Tinkerbell swimsuit.)
Do you have a budding fashionista? What’s her favorite look? (I can’t believe these photos don’t show dresses, all she is WEARING right now is dresses – about 4 a day.)
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! No offense Gindi…..But this one has to be one of my FAVORITE Fashion Fridays Tips!!! I definately thinks she’s on to something!!! HAHAHAHA! WHAT PURE JOY!!! Have a great weekend….(including a nap or two…you deserve it!)
