Happy New Year Ladies!
I have missed you darling fashionistas! With the holidays, I had two Fridays in a row without an ounce of fashion. Now I’m itching to dive back in. We’ve got lots of fun installments coming. Some fresh looks at prickly fashion issues and some fresh new guinea pigs including a darling work colleague and some friends I’m going to be visiting in Florida in February – Fashion Fridays road show!
Let’s tiptoe back into the fashion waters with some simple ideas. I decided to write this post earlier this week when I was walking behind a lovely woman around 50 who was dressed from head to toe in taupe. Bland boring medium brown. Taupe flats. Taupe formless pants. A taupe oversized cardigan.
Yawn.
Here was this precious woman being drowned out by colors that drained her and quite possibly made folks sad to be back at work.
If your wardrobe is suffering from some winter blues, or simply needs to push refresh to give it an updated jolt, here’s a few simple fixes! You can put those Christmas gift cards to good use.
1. Buy some fun beads. I love all the colors and styles Noonday Collection is featuring right now – and you can feel great about your purchase. Look at these adorable women and designs featured on their home page. I’m personally digging on that fuchsia acai rope.
So go forth! Freshen! And report back. And send new ideas!
